Bobby Hofman played for Minneapolis, in the American Association, in 1949, where he came to the plate a total of 395 times in 92 games in the season, knocking in 38 RBI's, with an average of .281. Artie Wilson at shortstop and Hofman at second base made the Oaks' double play combination in 1950. He batted .297 in 166 games for Oakland.
