Born in Crockett, California on May 24, 1927, Arthur Edward Ciutti was the stalwart "fourth outfielder" for the Oaks. In his first season in Oakland, 1953, he played both in the outfield and behind the plate. In his second season he played some games at third base as well. When former Seals manager Lefty O'Doul took the helm in '55, Art was the only outfielder to stay on in Oakland.
