Tall Johnny Babich coaches the Oaks this season having accumulated
a variety of experience in professional baseball. Starting in 1931 he
played with Pacific Coast League clubs before pitching for Brooklyn,
Braves, and Athletics, in Majors, and managed the Stockton Ports last
season to win California's State League Pennant. Born in California and
educated in Richmond schools, his hobbies include golf and carpentry work.
