"Dizz" was born in Oakland in 1919 of French-Portuguese descent, and graduated with an A.B.
degree from the University of California. Throughout his schooling he won many letters and
honors in sports. Throws and bats right.
First time at bat in his first professional game he hit a triple when he was with Idaho Falls Pioneers
in 1940. He has brown hair and eyes, is 5' 9" and weighs 180 lbs.
