Towering DEWEY SORIANO came to the Oaks early this campaign on option from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dewey, who is 6' 3" and weighs 202, was part of the deal that sent Wally Westlake to the Pirates. A product of Franklin High in Seattle, he sold peanuts at the Rainiers' games at Civic Field. Hurled for Hollywood in ‘46. Chucks ‘em right, bats ‘em left.
