A veteran Coast Leaguer from Cumberland Washington, southpaw LOUIS EUGENE TOST has played for the Solons, Missions, Stars, and Rainiers over the last twelve years. He was most recently acquired by Oakland in the mid-1948 season from the Sacramento Solons, along with right-handed pitcher Jack Salveson, both 34 years old, to beef up the Acorns'pitching staff. He lays claim to an impressive overall ERA of 3.76.
